Purple - By Bus
Green - By Train
The picture above represented our proposed route for the 17 days trip abroad. Buses, trains and flights were a great combination as we had to juggle between time and cost.

And so the 4 of us, ZhiYuan, SongYee, ZhiKai and WeiYang embarked on an adventurous backpacking trip to Cambodia and Vietnam in July 2008. Plannings on the routes to take, Accomodations, Places to visit etc took a toll in our already hectic lifestyle. It was a route hardly taken by any friends or relatives and we were well on our own. Bounded by plenty of factors and most importantly budget, it was a trip we had to do as nothing gets much cheaper than travelling to these 2 Asean countries. It was an exciting trip awaiting.
When we told our friends that we are going to these 2 places, these were the common reactions:
"Why would you want to go there? Voluntary work?"
"NS send you there is it?"
"You going for war?"
"Finding a Vietnamese lady back as a wife?"
So what is it exactly that these 2 countries attracted our interest besides the low cost?
Is it the culture? The food? Or even the girls??? hahaha
