Day 9 - Nha Trang

Paid USD40 per person for 2 dives at an offshore island to Nha Trang. The pre-arranged bus picked us up at 0715 and we are off to the Coco Dive Centre junk boat. Our choice to dive with Coco proved to be the right one as they had a good, spacious and relaxing Junk, holding about 10 other divers.

Our divemaster for the day was Nini, a jovial and experienced Vietnamese diver. It was one of the most luxurious and carefree dives we ever did as Coco provided a wonderful service to all its valued customers. All we had to do was to get to our diving gears, put them on and off we go into the waters. There isnt even a need to set up our own equipment as they had all been done by the divemasters! The service even extended to the wearing of fins and BCs where they will assist u.. Superb service i must say!

The 2 dives were fantastic as we saw different types of marine life compared to previous experiences at Pulau Dayang. Thermoclines and currents are aplenty and we often get drifted away whilst advancing forward. Also, the water in Nah Trang is especially cold and our dear finance minister for the trip, WeiYang, was the hero for the day. He wore his 'SEAL SWIM COACH' top and boardshorts, without any wet suit for his first dive. No one was surprised when he came up shivering in cold as we felt the cold even when we were in wet suits!

Their service extended to post-dives as we didnt had to dissemble nor replace the empty tanks. All we had to do was to sit down, rest, relax and have some snacks while we await the next dive. It cant get any better!

Went to Nha Trang beach thereafter and had yet another maiden experience. Tried jetskiing and its truly fun and exciting! The max speed of the ski is thrilling especially when the ski rides through waves and goes bumping up and down. The drawback is the tiring hands due to the strong grip required as well as pain in the butt due to the bumpy ride. Nonetheless it was still fun!

Lazed around the whole day and had dinner at 2 roadside stalls for beehoon and noodles (no idea what it was called). Noodles were unique, though tasted like rubber band but it had great flavouring. Luckily for us, a beautiful Vietnamese lady was at the stall to guide us on the food available as it didnt had any menu..:)

A truly tiring and fulfilling day and a 14 hours train ride to Hue coming up next. We await the 5th city of our trip.

Day 10 - Hue
