We had breakfast at the Cargo club. The menu was of western cuisine, with cakes and waffles. The chocolate truffle cake here was really good and highly recommended for anyone going to HoiAn. Most importantly, it only costs 25k VND (SGD2) each.

Church at Danang City

Had a short stop-over at Danang City on our way to the airport. Walked around aimlessly until we arrived at a river bank and took some pictures before taking a cab to the airport. Do not expect the same luxury and comfort of Changi Airport at Danang.

1hr and 10 minutes on board Jetstar, and here we arrived at the last leg of our 18 days trip, Hanoi. Managed to bargain for a USD12 cab to Hanoi City. It was a long 45 minutes ride to the city and we arrived at about 1930hrs. At this time we were still without a hotel and dinner, not to mention about booking our Halong Bay tour for tomorrow.

Hunted quite a while before we chanced upon this hotel at the backpackers' area recommended by an English, the Viet Anh II hotel. It is by far the most classy hotel we've stayed in, comparable to a 3 to 4 stars hotel's standard given its cleanliness and decor. Definitely a steal at just USD15 for a room sufficient for 2 to sleep in.

Delighted with our choice (though FM still thinks we should stayed at cheaper rooms), we headed off to book the Halong Bay tour for the next 2 days. And by the time we were done with these, it was already 2130 hrs. Not all was smooth sailing for us despite the 4 of us being the best of friends. Tempers were flaring and heated arguments soon followed, probably due to the accumulated tiredness and hunger.
Finally had some Pho at a stall nearby our hotel and the soup tasted a little fishy. Its like 'Kway Chap's' kind of of smell, just that it was now being applied to the plain, clear soup. This meal once again proved Song's level of pickiness for food and his appetite is incline towards the westerners' style. His hatred for vegetables is rather high, making him a liability in trying local cuisines. Like what WeiYang likes to say, 'Ru Xiang Sui Su'.
As Song didn't even finish half the Pho, we walked around to scout for more food. A chinese BBQ roadside restaurant caught our sight and we went on to order BBQ beef, sausages etc. The unique taste of the bubble tea just goes so well with all the BBQ food!

We'll be in Halong Bay for the next 2 days. Let's hope it would be good.
