Another afternoon spent in Sands and later on proceeded to the Taipa old Village. An old street with lots of bakeries and eateries. My only regret being in the lack of time if not I would have queued up for the Zhu Pa Bao and the Lao Po Bing whose queues were really really long!
This trip definitely provides a different experience to that of Vietnam and Cambodia. Most of the days were spent in luxury even though we had spent roughly the same amount on both trips, all thanks to Song’s relatives. We enjoyed the best foods in DongGuan and Macau, stayed in a high class hotel and lived like a king. But on the contrary, the travelling part became more slack as we sticked with his relatives for a large amount of time and didn’t had much freedom to roam about. On the contrary, we have sorta survived the days where we lived in ‘slums’in HongKong and saving every bit possible in order to try out more things. 1 trip, 2 different kind of experience.
Furthermore, the places visited this time round were megapolises with Vietnam and Cambodia paling in comparison in terms of transport and the standard of living. Given the amount spent, this trip is definitely worthwhile but in terms of the experience gained, it is far from ideal..
